DOME* was making lots of moves about a year ago today, We were supporting artists, we were collaborating with other organizations, we were moving towards our goal of bringing life and depth into the mainstream. There was deep passion and work being done, until we hit a hurdle. While I was working towards this future, and building this brand, I discovered another brand, exact same name, exact same logo, and exists in the same market. While what they do is very different, it is still in the arts industry. While I have respect for what they do and do not have any ill will, I understand that this poses a threat to our existence due to their trademarks and copyright. 

Names are very important to me, I define this by it's name, DOME, I could not bring myself to change it. So I've made some slight tweaks and alterations that hopefully can allow us to exist without worry of confusion around which brand is which. We now are DOME* pronounced "Dome-Star" You will see two stylizations of our brand name, DOME* and DOMESTR. DOME is symbolic of a vision I had years ago, that of a young boy watching his life projected on the curved walls of a huge industrial dome. The * and STR represent the grand, ethereal, extraterrestrial, and the north star that we strive for.

With that, lets talk about me. I am young, I am new to the world, I just moved out of my parents home to a completely new city, and I am figuring out who I am. What i've discovered recently is that DOME* is the manifestation of one pillar of my purpose. Currently, I define my life's purpose with three pillars. I am not even old enough to buy beer, so I understand that this is subject to change and likely will. but I will still share regardless.

Pillar one: THE SELF*

The first pillar is to master myself. To understand what makes me tick. To understand what I need to thrive. To understand and find meaning for me specifically.

Pillar two: THE UNDERGROUND*

The second pillar is to go as deep as possible, to find god, to connect with the core of life, to understand the murky underworld we all draw from. 

Pillar three: THE SERVICE*

The third pillar is in relation to my responsibility to the world, I feel responsible to help deepen the collective. I hold the view that we would have less evil people in the world if they had the skills and understanding to connect with themselves and their life. we live in a world oriented around escaping from depth, to the point that we manufacture fake depth to satisfy the curiosity while blatantly ignoring the truth. My role is to be courageously honest about life, my own small one and the bigger one we all connect to.

The third pillar is where DOME* lives, DOME* is the manifestation of that responsibility. As of now, it starts with me, as I am young and the wisdom I have to give exists in sharing myself truthfully, brutally and in full, not in giving advice, not in profound think tanks, not in telling others what to do. The long term goal is to eventually build a organization that is run entirely by people who have this goal. A music label that is not defined by genre, but by intention, the intention to share honestly and truthfully about the self as a service to the world. A movie production company that exclusively works with filmmakers who are not trying to make the next box office hit, but make films that teach you something about yourself. A guerrilla marketing company that exclusively works with businesses and brands who are in the business of telling profound stories. Among other manifestations.

Truth, DOME* is a storytelling company, we exist to tell stories that deepen our collective human experience. It does not matter what form, what matters is intention and impact...and this starts with me, I am too young and naive to play support on this yet. I must start by sharing about myself first, and from there DOME* will grow into what it is meant to be.
