It has been a while.
a long, long while.
eight months to be exact.
I'm here to report on the state of DOME.
As a leader, definition is hard for me, DOME requires defining, and i'm struggling with doing so, I don't want to limit the possibilities of what we could do. But a laser travels farther then a light bulb, a strong enough laser contains the power to meaningfully change what it's pointed at. So how does DOME laser in, while also holding the endless possibilities of life?
...
Well, I wrote that a couple days ago, since then, i've done a lot of thinking. I've come to a few points;
We live in a world oriented around money and escapism. DOME thinks that this focus is hurtful, not only does it keep the impoverished... well, impoverished, but it also keeps the rest of our collective society in a constant rat race of greed and fleeing from our problems instead of embracing them.
DOME exists to move the needle, to shift our collective focus away from things like money and escapism, and towards life and depth. DOME believes that every problem the world faces is caused by a lack of depth, a lack of interest in introspection, greed, and a lack of desire to live ones life fully. DOME will change this.
The way that DOME will achieve it's goal is by creating art, and supporting artists that align with it's vision. DOME will function in many different ways, a collective, a public service, a brand, a production house, a marketing firm, an artist label, and more, all in service of creating a macro culture more centered around life and the depth it holds.
In many ways, DOME exists as a trojan horse for depth, producing items, media, and ideas that all serve the purpose of serving life and its depth, injecting them into the mainstream, and slowly shifting the way we think about our lives and our depths.
Subject to shift in the near, near future.
